Membership

We’re always happy when new members want to join Geordie Chapter. We’ve got a really great bunch of people in the Chapter and we offer a good mix of rides, events and activities to suit everyone.

As well as regular Chapter events, many of our riders arrange their own rides, offering invitations to everyone through our closed Facebook group. There’s always something going on.

Joining the Chapter is really easy, as long as you are a member of H.O.G. You simply complete an application form and pay your subscription fees. Our Membership Officer is always available to answer any questions you may have.

Becoming a member of Geordie Chapter

If you want to apply for a single rider or joint rider and associate non-rider membership of Geordie Chapter, you must be current members of H.O.G. We will check your H.O.G. membership status before any new application or renewal is accepted. If your H.O.G. membership expires and is not renewed, then your membership of Geordie Chapter also ends. If a rider member’s membership ends, the associate non-rider’s membership automatically ends.

Membership is annual and runs from the start of our riding season, 1 March.

If you want to find out more about H.O.G. membership categories, subscription rates and how to join, then visit www.hog.com. An application to join H.O.G. is a separate process to joining Geordie Chapter.

You can pay your membership fees by bank transfer directly to the Geordie Chapter bank account unless prior arrangements have been made with the Membership Officer or Director. If you have not paid your renewal fees by 31 March, your existing membership will lapse.

Have a look at the H.O.G. Annual Charter and our Chapter Charter to find out more about the relationship of Geordie Chapter to H.O.G. You need to read these documents before signing the membership application form. After that, you’re good to go.

Riding guests

If you are a Harley-Davidson rider and want to know more about Geordie Chapter prior to joining, you are welcome to attend two Closed events before making a decision. See our Events pages for more details.

Please contact us for support in attending an event. We want to help you make an informed decision.

Non-riding guests

Geordie Chapter is a family-friendly environment and non-riding guests are very welcome to attend any Chapter meeting, social or charity event, or ride. A Full Chapter member must accompany all non-riding guests.

As a guest of Geordie Chapter, there are a couple of things you need to bear in mind. All guests attending ride events must sign the attendance register and release waiver circulated before each ride. If you haven’t, you can’t take part in the event. There are no exceptions to this. Guests can’t attend Member only rides. But there are lots of Open and Closed events that you can attend. See our Events pages for more details.

Guests aren’t eligible to vote at Chapter meetings or to benefit from discounts or subsidised Chapter events. Guests are not entitled to any of the benefits of Chapter or H.O.G. membership, including the wearing of any Geordie Chapter rockers, pins, patches or clothing.
